Campaigning on hold after 20 dead in Cairo clash

Campaigning for Egypt's first post-uprising presidential poll was temporarily on hold after thugs attacked an anti-military protest near the defence ministry in Cairo, leaving 20 people dead. US urges China to allow currency to appreciate

Record high temperatures in Vietnam

30% of domestic waste in Hanoi goes untreated

Only 70% of Hanoi's household waste is collected for treatment, leaving stagnation in most of the capital's rural areas.
